STEP 1: Select the drives units

Single drive units

Motor AC 3PH 200-240V 0.2KW ~ 2.2KW Heavy duty (HD); 3PH 380-480V 0.4KW ~ 7.5KW HD 

Dual drive units

Motor AC 3PH 200-240V 0.2KW ~ 2.2KW Heavy duty (HD); 3PH 380-480V 0.4KW ~ 3.7KW HD 

Normal load: overload capacity is 110% of the rated output current for 60 seconds. No derating for light load at 50℃ 

Heavy load: overload capacity is 150% of the rated output current for 60 seconds. No derating for heavy load at 40℃

 STEP 2: Select the rectifier units

If we know the application load of the mechanical application (best), OR the KW of the Drives unit (easier), combine the KW together, and select the rectifier unit.

The recitifier has options of Single Phase 200-240VAC verion that suits 3PH AC motors on 240VAC, or Three Phase 380-480VAC verion, both have options with ability to connect to braking resistors.

NOTE: 1x rectifier units can suit 4x Drive units (from 1 to 8 Drives)

TRICK: If the drives are running a machinery in sequence, we don’t need to sum them all up, we can evaluate the maximum application load running together and select the rectifier. The drives have the DC link coupled, if some drive driving the mechanical, the other drives are regenerative, we only need
to consider the overall demand from power side and select rectifier, always consider the worst-case scenario.

STEP 3: Know the accessories needed!

STO: The drives unit can be selected with integrated SIL3 STO.

Motor connection best practise: MD800-PBJ50M-W1 Single or dual drive unit cable support bracket allows motor shielding connection for best EMC practise

External IOs: Local resources: 4DI/4DIO/2AI/1RO; CAN + Modbus, Auxiliary +24 V input, Type-C debug port, Extension card slot x 2.

Optional IO card, relay cards, each rectifier unit has 2x expansion slots, shared with Comms.

Comms: PROFINET, EtherCAT, and Ethernet IP available, Modbus TCP (SI-EM in development)

HMI: SOP-20 Remote LCD keypad (inc. 3 m cable)

EMC: The product fulfills EMC C3, if EMC C2 (residential) is required, EMC filters can be added.

Ultimate space saving, without the rectifiers and chokes needed for each drive, the space saved is truely amazing. Thickened conformal coating, meeting the 3C3 and 3S2 environmental requirements, the device is also IP40, with back channel cooling.
